l never told you more about my little family.
We are a multicultural family. I was born in Austria and lived there for 18 years. I always wanted to travel and see more countries. At only 18 years decided to become an Au Pair and move to the US for two years. Those two years were amazing and I got to see so many nice places. I lived in Jacksonville Beach/Florida, Great Neck (Long Island) /New York and Milltown/ New Jersey. When I was 21 I moved back to Austria but only for a short time. I realised that Austria was not the best place for me and I moved to London. Well here I am now 5 years later, still in London and a Mother of two sweet girls ;)
My boyfriend was born in Argentina. He is Argentinian and Italian. When he was younger he lived in Venezuela for a few years. He has been in London like me for 5 years. Combined we speak a total of 5 languages (German, Spanish, English, Italian and French). We raise our daughters trilingual (German, Spanish and English). We couldn´t be any happier!
A and M were born 8 weeks early and needed to spend 3.5 weeks at the neonatal intensive care unit. I had a difficult pregnancy. We found out at about 23 or 24 weeks that the girls had stage 3 “Twin to Twin Transfusion syndrome (TTTS)”. They only had a 30% of survival. I needed to have fetoscopic laser ablation surgery and amniotic fluid reduction the same day we found out about TTTS. This surgery is only performed in a few hospitals worldwide. As you can see the girls survived the surgery and were born 2 month later via c-section and that why my “nickname” in One Lucky Twin Mum.
I can not tell you how grateful I am for my little family. I love them more than anything. Life is short, I have to enjoy every single minute with them. You never know what is going to happen tomorrow!
Ps: those pictures where taken last week at Holland Park ;)
